As a first generation college student and son of a single mother, my story has been defined by perseverance, ambition, and faith. 

After being let go from my 4th job in four years since graduating the University of Iowa, I felt stuck and burnt out.

I constantly wondered, what’s next?

I knew I was capable of more, I just didn’t know how.
The one thing that was always clear was my deep passion to coach and grow others.

So in 2016, I invested in a 12-month coaches training program became an ICF Certified Life and Leadership Coach. That career investment changed everything. 

I soon landed myself at my first dream company, Meta. In the 3 years there, I was promoted twice, became a top performer, earned a high six-figure salary, and expanded my role as an In-team Trainer to unlock the potential of new hires.

The vision I set for myself to coach and grow others was being lived out. 

Then the next door of opportunity opened at another dream company, Netflix. 

Over the span of 2 years, my coaching skills allowed me to make a substantial impact across multiple organizations. 

I transformed the hiring practice of an entire business unit which quickly gained the attention of other leaders.

Within 11 months at the company, I was once again promoted and soon scouted to join Netflix’s Global Emerging Talent Team that was tasked with recruiting, onboarding, and training the largest class of interns and new graduates in the 25 year history of Netflix. 

In just 7 months, I co-led the recruiting and training efforts that made it a company-wide success story. 

Then life threw another curve ball. In mid-2023, I was impacted by a mass company layoff. 

Now what? 

I soon realized many others were asking these same questions.
“Now what?”

It became clear to me what I was being called to do. 

That’s why I founded Magnifi, a career development company whose vision is to help those who see themselves as high achievers but feel stuck in how to navigate their next career move. 

For the last 5 years of my career, I’ve worked at two of the most well known companies in the world, making a difference. And today, Magnifi is here to make a lasting difference to unlock the heart and mind of your future’s potential.
